but I loved
it. I loved it because I love interacting
and I love food.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner - all those
things combined. I liked my job,
but I was a bit klutzy and forgetful.
I was a young
fellow, I used to learn
the dialogue backwards.
The point is that in a conversation
between two people,
you can't have already made the decisions
about what you're gonna do. You gotta be
very light on your feet. That leads you
into areas where conversations can have
a much bigger, grander meaning.
realized that no matter what I thought
in the past about how I constructed a character,
I needed to know that the outside shell
looked OK. If you're going to be a pirate,
wear an eye patch. The more you inform
yourself and fuel the internal engine that
drives the character, then you get to the
point where you can be standing on a hillside
saying no dialogue but completely communicating
to every person that's watching that film
all of those peaks of desperation, joy,
and acceptance without saying a single word.

more urgently than ever, because the enemies
that threaten us are universal: drugs,

But I've never been so crazy and wild as
I am with my son
or as I am now.
I don't watch the TV
shows that are about that. I don't read
that make things up about people.
I know what the truth
is. I don't sort of indulge in my own fodder.
don't really care what they write

I'd want to know. I think that's a really
cool thing. So I'm pretty involved in it.

That was quite overwhelming. Myself and
David Goyer did a press

It was f***ing crazy.
little of that's me. Very, very little.
I thought the dialogue's
