Bio..
The famous Pop star and R&B artist Usher
was born as Usher Jamie Raymond, IV on October
14, 1978 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, United States.
Usher was interested in music and performing
as a youth and was singing in the local church
choir. In the early 90's he started developing
himself as a professional musician and entertainer.
Usher
was raised by his mother Jonnetta and he has
a younger brother, James.
The
debut album of the famous R&B star was released
in 1994 and was named "Usher", which
was the beginning of his now successful career.
After his debut album it took 3 years to create
the next album "My Way" (1997), in
which he co-wrote 6 out of 9 songs. Then four
years later (in 2001) the third album was released,
titled 8701. The fourth album "Confessions"
was released on March 23, 2004 and is known
as the fastest selling album in the first week
of sales by any R&B artist and the highest
sales by any artist in three years.
The
famous R&B star has achieved much success
and recognition by winning a large amount of
Billboard R&B/ Hip-Hop Awards, BET Awards,
Soul Train Awards, Grammy Awards, NRJ Music
Awards, Billboard Music Awards, VH1 Awards,
MTV Video Music Awards, American Music Awards,
World Music Awards, ASCAP Awards and many other
awards.
Usher
has also played a number of roles in different
TV series and movies, such as The Faculty (1998),
"The Bold and the Beautiful" (1987),
She's All That (1999), Texas Rangers (2001)
and others.
