Missy Elliott is known as one of the best black
female rap singers and hip hop artists in the
world. Elliott was born as Melissa Arnette Elliott
on July 1, 1971 in Virginia, USA.
Missy
started her career as a musician in the late
80's as as a members of R&B
band "Sista", which became popular
in a short period of time. Missy Elliott began
expressing herself as a singer and song writer.
In
the middle of the 90's Elliott had started her
own solo career, which began with her release
in cooperation with other musicians "Cold
Rock a Party" (1996), but her first debut
album was "Supa Dupa Fly" in 1997.
The album created much interest from many other
musicians who sought to collaborate musically
with her.
Elliott's music album "Under Construction"
which was released in the year 2002 is known
as her best selling album (it sold 2.1 million
copies in United States).
Missy
Elliott has collaborated with other artists
like Janet Jackson, Madonna, Christina Aguilera,
Ciara,Mary J. Blige and others.
