Mariah
Carey Bio..
Mariah Carey was born on March 27, 1970 in Huntington,
New York and has been a globally famous singer
since early 90's. During 90's she has released
many music albums and has had many radio hits,
which made her one of the best selling musicians
in the world (she is the only female artist
who has 16 songs that were number 1 in the US
Hot 100 chart).
Her
parents are Alfred Roy Carey (he is half Venezuelan
and half African-American) and Patricia Hickey
(she is Irish-American). And mother was the
person who thought her singing and music. But
Mariah has a bad past as regards to her childhood,
because she confronted violence and hostility.
Mariah Carey started singing when she was three
years old and the first public performance was
3 years later.
She
got involved into performing and music world
being a young girl and in early 90's she started
getting an international commercial success
for her albums and hits. Before that she was
earning money by working as hostess, waitress,
coat-checker.
In
the year 1997 she and he husband Mottola separated
and it brought a big struggle for Mariah. From
that period the singer has changed her stage
appearance to more sexy. In 2001 she signed
a a $100,000,000 million deal with Virgin Records
for her next four albums.
Mariah
Carey's filmography includes The Bachelor (1999),
Glitter (2001), WiseGirls (2002), State Property
2 (2005) and other movies, but they all more
or less are considered to be a box office failure.
Mariah
Carey is involved in charities, by donating
a big amount of money to the National Adoption
Center, the Fresh Air Fund, Make-A-Wish Foundation
and many other. Carey has organized many camps
as well for young singers and has performed
in concerts for raising money.
