Kylie Minogue (Kylie Ann Minogue) was born on
May 28, 1968 in Melbourne, Australia and is
a world-known singer. Minogue started becoming
famous in 80's by performing in different television
series and the most famous of them was soap
opera "Neighbours". Kylie has got
a sister Dannii Minogue, who is also a pop singer.
In
early 90's she signed a contract with record
company and started her song-writing and singing
career. During 90's Minogue didn't achieve an
astonishing popularity all over the world. It
took her time as she in the year 2000 became
globally known as pop artist.
Additional
to her musician career Minogue is involved in
charities. She is the celebrity Ambassader for
Kids Help Line in Australia and became the first
Ambassador for the NSPCC, which is a foundation
preventing cruelty to children.
Her
filmography includes The Sullivans" (1976),
"Neighbours" (1985), Street Fighter
(1994), Moulin Rouge! (2001).
The Australian singer was announced to be diagnosed
with breast cancer at an early stage on 17 May
2005, and that made Minogue to cancel her concert
tour named "Showgirl: The Greatest Hits
Tour".
