Kelly Clarkson (Kelly Brianne Clarkson) was
born on April 24, 1982 in Fort Worth, Texas
to Jeanne Ann Taylor and Stephen Michael Clarkson.
Kelly is of Greek and Irish descent and she
has got a sister Alyssa (born 1976) and a brother
Jason (born 1973). Clarkson discovered her talent
for singing in a high school, however she wanted
to be marine biologist.
In 2000 Kelly moved to Hollywood, but she appeared
to be unsuccessful. During that time Kelly played
small roles in Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, additional
to that she worked as telemarketer and cocktail
waitress as well.
Clarkson
became famous in 2002 due to the winning the
first season of American Idol, which is a reality
show. After signing contract her career as musician
turned out to be very successful.
Her
first music album "Thankful" (2002)
is commercially very successful and that has
such radio hits as "A Moment Like This",
"Miss Independent". The debut album
was sold more than 2 million copies in the United
States."Thankful" was followed by
"Breakaway", which was released on
November 2004 with "Since U Been Gone"
and "Because of You" and was sold
more than 3.2 million copies in America.
