Kanye West is a famous American
rapper
that was born on June 8, 1977 in Atlanta, Georgia
to Donda and Ray West. As a teenager
West devoted himself to music
and started performing in local venues. His
popularity was achieved
during this time when he wrote
songs for such big R&B
and Hip Hop stars as Ludacris, Jay-Z, Britney
Spears, Janet Jackson and Alicia Keys.
Currently
West is also a record producer and owns a record
label called "G.O.O.D.", which stands
for Getting Out Our Dreams. But the rise to
fame
was very difficult for Kanye West, as he had
problems with creating his rap image. In the
year 2002 West released the single "Through
the Wire", which was included in his album
"The College Dropout" (released 2004).
One year later Kanye West succeeded
with the next music album "Late Registration".
West
has created controversy by expressing his political
views and his strong position against President
George W. Bush and the State's policy towards
black people in the USA.
Kanye West's filmography includes the movies:
"Fuse 100%" (2004) (TV Series) and
State Property 2 (2005).
