Christina
Aguilera Bio..
Christina Aguilera was born on December 18,
1980 in Staten Island, New York, and was raised
in the Pittsburgh suburb of Wexford, Pennsylvania.
She is of Irish and Spanish descent and has
four siblings: Stephanie, Rachel, Casey and
Michael.
As
a child Christina started performing and dancing
classes and participated in several singing
contests, including "Star Search",
"Wake Up with Larry Richert", joined
Disney Channel's variety show, Mickey Mouse
Club in 1989 with Justin Timberlake and Britney
Spears.
The
internationally successful self titled album
"Christina Aguilera" was released
on August, 1999 and made Christina Aguilera
famous, releasing such singles as "Genie
in a Bottle", "What a Girl Wants",
and "Come on Over (All I Want is You)".
Christina sings also in Spanish, releasing the
Spanish album titled "Mi Reflejo"
in 2004.
Christina
Aguilera changed her public image with the album
called "Stripped". She changed from
an innocent, virginal girl image to the raunchy,
sexy image that she now continues to push. With
less clothes also came more success, as it so
often does with many female pop singers.
Aguilera
has been awarded with many honors, such as 6
Grammy Nominations and one win for Best New
Artist, 2 MTV Video Music Awards, Teen Choice
Award, and VH1 Awards.
Christina Aguilera is also involved in charitable
works by helping the victims of AIDS and the
Women's Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh.
Christina
Aguilera's filmography includes Mulan (1998),
Moulin Rouge! (2001), and Rize (2005).
She also has several lucrative sponsorship deals
with major companies like Mercedes, Versace,
Coca-Cola, Fetish, and Virgin-mobile.
