Cent Bio..
50 Cent was born Curtis Jackson on the 6th of
July, 1976 in Queens New York. He had a far
from normal upbringing that was filled with
violence, drugs, and gang conflicts. Many friends
and family members were killed, with his mother
being killed under suspicious circumstances
before he was a teenager. This orphaned the
young "Fiddy" as his father played
no part in his upbringing.
In April 2000 50 Cent was shot 9 times while
he was standing out the front of his grandmother's
house in Queens New York. Fifty spent several
months recovering from the shooting and was
also dropped from his record company (columbia
Records). He did'nt quite though, and became
more determined to succeed, recording more than
30 tracks for mix-tapes.
Curtis Jackson has been know as "50 Cent",
"Fiddy" and "Fifty Cent".
He made it big when he teamed up with fellow
rapper Eminem and his Shady Records company.
Eminem and Dr. Dre often collaborate and work
together on music projects.
