Kass Bio..
Carmen Kass was born on the 14th of September,
1978 in Tallinn, Estonia and is know as an Estonian
supermodel.
Kass
grew up in Paide and began her modeling career
in her early teens, when she won the Miss Paide
and Miss Järvamaa. At the age of 14 she
was also discovered by Italian fashion agents
in a supermarket in Tallinn, Estonia. When Carmen
Kass was 18 years old she moved to the big fashion
metropolitans, such as New York, Paris, Milan,
and Los Angeles.
Kass
has gained great fame and recognition throughout
the modeling world, by being a model for famous
designer shows as Anna Sui, Calvin Klein, Chanel,
Christian Dior, Gucci, MaxMara, Prada, Louis
Vuitton, and Valentino. She has also been a
much sought after cover model, being featured
on famous fashion magazines like Vogue, Elle,
L'Officiel, and Harper's Bazaar. Carmen Kass
has won the VH1 Model of the Year in 2000, with
the previous winner being Brazilian
Model Gisele Bundchen.
Carmen
Kass is also famous for being an expert chess
player and is the President of Estonian National
Chess League.
In
2002 Carmen Kass modeled at the The Victoria's
Secret Fashion Show, being a Victoria's
Secret Angel. Kass has also pursued an acting
career by playing roles in movies like Welcome
to America (2002), Point&Shoot (2004) and
the Estonian movie Täna öösel
me ei maga (2004).
Carmen
Kass is also involved in politics, as a member
of Res Publica party and by being the member
of the European Parliament since June 2004.
