James Douglas Packer is the son of the late
Australian billionaire Kerry Packer. James Packer
was born on September 8, 1967 in Sydney, Australia.
He leads the Publishing and Broadcasting Limited
(PBL) company, taking the leadership role after
his father Kerry passed away.
James
Packer attended Tudor House School in Moss Vale
and the Cranbrook School Sydney, and then went
on to work in his father's group of companies.
A low point in James Packer's business career
was in the year 2001, when One.Tel collapsed,
costing PBL more than 300 million AUD. James
went into the One.Tel deal with Rupert
Murdoch's son Lachlan.
Packer
has had relationships with Tania Bryer, Kate
Fischer, and model Jodie Meares. His current
girlfriend is a model Erica Baxter.
