Conrad Hilton (Conrad Nicholson Hilton) was a very successful American business leader, who founded the Hilton Hotel chain.

Hilton was born on December 25, 1887 in San Antonio, New Mexico and died on January 3, 1979 in Santa Monica, California. His mother was German, but father was Norwegian and Conrad Hilton had many siblings (Felice, Helen, Eva, Carl, Rosemary, Julia and August).

Hilton attended the New Mexico Military Institute and the New Mexico School of Mines, but he started the hotel business by having bought the Mobley Hotel in Cisco, Texas (1919). The year 1946 became very significant as Conrad Hilton established Hilton Hotel Corporation and developed a great chain business across the country.

The heiress of the Hilton Hotel empire is a famous celebrity Paris Hilton.
