King Bio..
Stephen King is an American bestselling
fictional author, who was born as Stephen Edwin
King on September 21, 1947 in Portland, Maine.
His parents are Nellie Ruth Pillsbury and Donald
Edwin King.
King
began writing stories while still at school,
when he discovered an interest in horror novels.
His writing career is divided into three periods;
the first involves his earliest works (there
are poor working-class people), second describes
middle-class society (authors, teachers, doctors)
and the third period covers pilots and writers.
Among
his most famous books are "Rita Hayworth",
"Shawshank Redemption", "The
Green Mile", and "The Body".
King has written 6 of his books using a pseudonym
of Richard Bachman. Stephen King has benn influenced
by many other authors, including Edgar Allan
Poe, Shirley Jackson, Peter Straub and H.P.
Lovecraft.
Many of Stephen Kings science fiction novels
have been made into popular movies, including
Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile.
A
Big turning point in his life was when he was
involved a bad car accident in the year 1999.
King was half way through writing the book "On
Writing: A Memoir of the Craft" and had
to abandon it for 18 months, as he was in a
coma and had to receive much medical treatment.
