Winfrey Bio..
Oprah Winfrey was born on January 29, 1954 in
Kosciusko, Mississippi to Vernon Winfrey and
Vernita Lee. Now Oprah is an extremely successful
American business leaders which famously deals
with television and TV talk show "The Oprah
Winfrey Show". She is the first woman in
history to own and produce her own talk show,
the first African-American women to become a
billionaire in American history and her net
worth is $1.3 billion.
In
the childhood she lived in poverty and at the
age of 17 she started joining the media business
by being news anchor at Nashville's WTVF-TV,
Baltimore's WJZ-TV and later talk shows "People
Are Talking" (1978) and "AM Chicago".
In 986 September 8 was started "The Oprah
Winfrey Show" which became famous on a
global scale. Additional to that Winfrey started
involving into charity and fund rising for victims
of poverty worldwide. She also brought lost
of problems in front of the public, e.g., a
sexually abusive childhood, drugs.
She
owns the magazines "O at Home" and
"O, The Oprah Magazine", she is the
leader of "Harpo Productions" and
"Oxygen", which is the women's cable
television network.
Her
filmography as a producer includes "The
Oprah Winfrey Show" (1986), Before Women
Had Wings (1997), The Wedding (1998) and Their
Eyes Were Watching God (2005).
Oprah
Winfrey's partner is Stedman Graham since 1986.
