Joanne Rowling was born in Chipping Sodbury
in the United Kingdom. In her early ages she
worked as a secretary and delivered English
classes. J.K.Rowling has got 2 years younger
sister Diana. Right now Joanne has got 3 children
Jessica, Mackenzie and David and her spouse
is Neil Murray.
In
1990 J.K.Rowling had a dream about a boy who's
name was Harry Potter and in six years term
Rowling's book about Harry Potter was completed.
Within this time J.K.Rowling lived in Portugal
where she got married to Portuguese journalist.
They signed divorcing papers after few years
term and J.K.Rowling returned to UK. Her contract
with the publisher was signed in 3 days and
during the middle 90's J.K.Rowling delivered
French classes in Edinburgh.
The
publicity of the Harry Potter books have been
unprecedented, with the release of the "Harry
Potter and the Goblet of Fire" book becoming
a major media event. Bookstores worldwide celebrated
the release of the book with midnight releases
and much fanfare. The book sold more than 3,000,000
copies in 48 hours, making it the fastest selling
book in history (until the next Harry Potter
edition surpassed this record in 2003 with the
release of "Harry Potter and the Order
of the Phoenix")
In
Rowling's writers career she has won the Whitbread
Award for Best Children's Book, a special certificate
for being a three-year winner of the Smarties
Prize, the Bram Stoker Award, a special commendation
for the Anne Spencer Lindbergh Prize, the Hugo
Award.
Rowling
writes all of her books in longhand, rather
than with a computer.

and preeminence from the Harry Potter series
of books, appearing on such popular TV talk
shows as "The Today Show", "60
Minutes" and "Larry King Live".
