Roger Federer is a famous Swiss tennis player. He was born on August 8, 1981 in Basel, Switzerland.

Federer discovered his love for tennis when he was 8 years old, when he also had a strong interest in football. Federer devoted himself to tennis and when he was 14 Roger became the the Swiss Junior champion. In 1998 he won the Wimbledon Juniors title and Orange Bowl.

Federer has defeated such great tennis stars as Andre Agassi (Tennis Masters Cup 2003 Final), Pete Sampras (Wimbledon 2001 4th Round), and Andy Roddick (Wimbledon 2005 Final).

Apart from his tennis career, Roger Federer is also involved in the fashion and fragrance business. He launched his own cosmetics line "RF Cosmetics" in 2003.

Federer is involved in charity as well. The Roger Federer Foundation was established in the year 2003 (December), with an main aim to help disadvantaged children all over the world, focusing on disadvantaged areas like South Africa. Federer's father manages the foundation for his son. The foundation is also collaborating with UNICEF.
