Mauresmo Bio..
Amelie Mauresmo (Amelie Simone Mauresmo) was
born on the 5th of July, 1979 in Saint-Germain-en-Laye,
France. She is a world famous French tennis
player on the professional womens tennis tour.
Amelie Mauresmo started playing tennis when
she was 4 years old and her inspiration
came from Yannick Noah, who was also a professional
French tennis player. During the late 1990s
and early 2000s she gained much recognition
by being ranked one of the best womens tennis
players in the world. Amelie Mauresmo has won
many major titles that include Grand Slam singles
titles, Wimbledon and the Australian Open.
Amelie Mauresmo has played (and won) with big
tennis stars such as Justine Henin-Hardenne,
Maria
Sharapova, Lindsay
Davenport
and many others.
In
1999 and at the age of just 19, Mauresmo made
it clear that she was a lesbian tennis player.
At the Australian Open she thanked her girlfriend
and said that finding her true sexuality was
helpful to her success as a tennis player.
