Bacon Bio..
Francis Bacon was born on October 28, 1909 in
Dublin, Ireland, but is more known to the world
as English painter. In his childhood Bacon was
a sickly child and was violently influenced
by his father.
Bacon
wasn't a university educated painter, therefore
a very remarkable event was in the year 1945
when he exhibited in London. The exhibition
was called "Three Studies for Figures at
the Base of a Crucifixion" and was a great
success.
Bacon
had developed a very original and extremely
unusual style and became an internationally
famous expressionist painter. Before his career
as a painter Bacon was involved in interior
design.
Bacon's
major influences were Vincent van Gogh, Diego
Velazquez and Pablo
Picasso. Pablo Picasso impacted Bacon very
much, with his style and ideas about painting
and being an artist.
Francis
Bacon's paintings are in a number of the world's
most famous museums and art galleries in the
USA, United Kingdom, Denmark, Australia, Spain,
Belgium, Finland and other countries.
Bacon
in his adult life was heterosexual and was keen
on alcohol and gambling.
Francis
Bacon died in April 28, 1992 at the age of 82
in Madrid, Spain.
