Sarah Jessica Parker was born on the 25th of
March 1965 in Nelsonville, Ohio, USA. Sarah
was one of the eight children in the family.
At an early age she started ballet studies and
appeared on the local TV show "The Little
Match Girl". Parker studied Cincinnati
ballet in the American Ballet Theater and was
singing in the Metropolitan Opera.
Her first acting recognition came as she was
a teenager in the CBS series "Square Pegs"
(1982). During the 80's and early 90's Sarah
Jessica Parker continued her acting career in
many TV programs and movies, but her major acting
accomplishment is considered to be the TV series
"Sex and the City" in which she starred
with 3 other popular American actresses: Kim
Cattral, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon. The
TV series "Sex and the City" lasted
for six seasons and ended in the year 2004.
Sarah
Jessica Parker has received many honours and
awards in her acting career such as Screen Actors
Guild Award in 2001, Golden Globe Award for
Best Actress in 2000, 2001, and 2002.
Sarah
has been married to the actor Matthew Broderick
since the May 1997. The couple have a son called
James which was born in 2002.
