Marilyn Monroe is considered to be one of the
best stars in the history of movies. She was
born as Norma Jeane Mortenson in Los Angeles
on June 1, 1926 and had died on August 5, 1962
at the age of 36. Monroe had Norwegian father
and American mother of Scottish heritage.
Marilyn had a difficult childhood and her teenager
time, as she had no money, she was working as
a roommate and in the factory in California,
where she was discovered by the photographer
who offered her modeling career. Very soon she
signed the contract with the The Blue Book Modeling
agency. The offer to perform in films made Marilyn
at the age of 20 to change her real name to
the stage name "Marilyn Monroe".
Her first movie projects became unsuccessful
and were low-budgetary production. But due to
her sexy look, nude pictures and blond hair
Marilyn through the period of time has achieved
a great recognition and has become the world's
biggest movie star, however she had made just
about 30 movies in her acting career. She was
portrayed in quite a number of movies through
80's an 90's.
Monroe
had established with the photographer Milton
H. Greene the movie production company, called
Marilyn Monroe Productions on December 31, 1955.
Marilyn
was the first woman, who appeared on the Playboy
first cover in the year 1953 and she is famous
for the song "Happy Birthday, Mr. President"
in 1962, which she performed on the television
for US President John F. Kennedy at his 45th
birthday.
Marilyn
Monroe had three husbands: James Dougherty (June
19, 1942 - September 13, 1946); Joe DiMaggio
(January 14, 1954 - October 27, 1954) and Arthur
Miller (June 29, 1956 - Januray 20, 1962). Alongside
she had affairs with public known persons as
Henry Fonda, Frank Sinatra, Marlon Brando, John
F. Kennedy.
In
her last years of her life she became addicted
to drugs and antidepressant pills and appeared
psychologically unstable. Monroe was found in
her bedroom in Brentwood, California on August
5, 1962 and the versions of the explanations
of her death have remained unsolved and mysterious
till nowadays. The death versions include the
connection with the President John F. Kennedy,
committing suicide and murdering.
