Longoria Bio..
Eva Jacqueline Longoria was born on March 15,
1975 in Corpus Christi, Texas, USA. She is one
of the "Desperate Housewives" stars
from the popular television series. Her family
is of Mexican and American descent and she has
three sisters. Eva studied in Texas A&M-Kingsville
and received a Bachelor of Science degree in
Kinesiology.
Before her career as an actress, Eva Longoria
was a model and won the Miss Corpus Christi
USA title 1998. In Los Angeles she was discovered
by an agent and decided to become an actress.
Before the big turning point Eva was playing
minor roles in television programs like General
Hospital, Beverly Hills 90210, and The Bold
and the Beautiful.
The
major breakthrough for Eva Longoria's acting
career was her part in "The Young and the
Restless" between 2001 and 2003, but greatest
success so far has been with her role in the
"Desperate Housewives" (Gabrielle
Solis) in 2004. Her co-stars include Teri Hatcher,
Felicity Huffman and Marcia Cross.
2005
was a significant year for her, because Longoria
signed a lucrative contract with L'Oreal.
She
was married to Tyler Christopher and the marriage
lasted from 20 January 2002 to 19 January 2005.
