Mel Gibson was born on the 3rd of January in
1956 as Mel Columcille Gerard Gibson in Peekskill,
New York, USA. After his father won a large
amount of money on the TV game show Jeopardy,
the family of 11 siblings moved to Australia.
Mel
Gibson graduated from the famed NIDA school
of acting in Australia and made his first acting
appearances on the television series The Sullivans.
His film debut was on the successful Mad Max
film, with Mad Max 2 and 3 also being made later
in the actor's career.
Mel Gibson is one of Hollywood's highest paid
actors, starring in many blockbuster movies,
including Braveheart, the Lethal Weapon series,
and Hamlet. Gibson is also a talented Director
and Producer, creating box office hits with
films like "The Passion of the Christ".
Gibson lives in the United States of America
with his long time wife, Robyn Gibson. The couple
have 7 children.
